It was easy to set up. Twist the silver cap on the back and it will seat the battery. You will hear a beep which means it’s active a looking to pair. Open up the Find My app. Tap the devices tab and then the plus button. Confirm it, name it, choose an emoji to identify it on the map, and your done. You can then choose to share the device’s location with friends and family. Which in a case like this is a good idea, as your phone could be with it.

The Good:
Easy Setup and Use: Pairing the tag with my iPhone was a breeze. The “Find My” app made it super simple to locate my keys, wallet, and even my backpack (which I am notorious for misplacing).
Reliable Range: I was pleasantly surprised by the range of the Bluetooth signal. I could easily find my keys from another room, and even from across the street in a pinch.
Stylish Design: The black tracker looks sleek and modern. The keychain cover is a nice touch and adds extra protection.
“Find My” Integration: Being able to locate my items directly within the “Find My” app was a huge plus, integrating seamlessly with my existing Apple ecosystem.
The Not So Good:
Limited Android Compatibility: This is a major flaw. While the tracker can pair with Android devices using the app, it doesn’t offer the same robust “Find My” functionality as with iOS.
Battery Life: While the battery life is decent, it’s not exceptional. I’m looking estimating at about 10-12 weeks of usage before needing to replace the battery based on meter readings over 2 weeks.
Cost Analysis:
I purchased the Smart Tag on this shop for $9.99. After comparing prices with other Bluetooth trackers, this seems to be a competitive price point for similar features.
Recommendation:
If you are an iPhone user looking for a reliable and affordable Bluetooth tracker, the Smart Tag is a great choice. The “Find My” integration is a major advantage, making it easy to locate your items. However, if you are an Android user, you might be better off exploring other options due to the limited functionality.
